- Suitable for residential, commercial, civil and government projects.
- Can support embodied-carbon targets and procurement requirements where accepted by the relevant project specification.
How does it work?
Our Low Carbon Concrete is achieved by meticulously optimising the concrete mix design while maintaining the required strength, durability and performance for your application. The result is a high-quality concrete that delivers the performance you expect, with a lower embodied carbon footprint.
Whether your project is civil, commercial, government, or simply a new driveway, shed slab or patio at home, our Low Carbon Concrete range offers a lower embodied-carbon concrete option without changing conventional construction methods.
This innovative product helps support sustainability objectives across commercial, civil and government projects, while also giving residential customers the option to select concrete with a verified lower embodied-carbon profile.
Independently Verified
Monaro Mix has independently verified Environmental Product Declarations registered and published through EPD Australasia. These EPDs provide transparent life-cycle environmental information, including the Global Warming Potential associated with the covered concrete products.
An EPD is based on a rigorous life cycle assessment and independently verified by a third party, giving architects, engineers, builders, government agencies and homeowners confidence in the environmental credentials of the products they specify and use.
The EPDs have been independently verified in accordance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804.
Our Approach to Environmental Transparency
Monaro Mix is committed to measuring and improving the environmental performance of our concrete products. Publishing independently verified EPDs allows customers, designers and project teams to access transparent environmental information and make informed product selections. We will continue reviewing our mix designs and operations to identify practical opportunities to reduce embodied carbon while maintaining required concrete performance.
